This is a very early over the shoulder brocade and hanger for an Imperial hunting or forestry Hirschfanger. The 2″ wide belt section is comprised of red velvet with a muted gold trim running down both edges. The straps are joined in a crossing pattern where a matching red velvet stirrup hanger is riveted to the rig. One of the lower rivets has pulled through the body of this hanger, but could be easily fixed. The entire unit certainly shows light age and wear over all, but is nearly 100 years old and to be expected. A rare early over the shoulder hanger variation probably worn in parades and ceremonies. $295.00
