Personalized Japanese Officer’s Sword Belt – B139

These belt assemblies are not all that often encountered in the first place, especially in the condition of the one that is shown in this offering. This is an early sword belt rig for a WWII Japanese naval officer. The heavy gauge leather is in decent condition for it’s age, and remains fairly supple. Though I would perhaps recommend a light application of Ren wax or leather conditioner to keep and preserve it this way. Both keepers are included with this assembly, as well as the 2 reinforced inner straps which hold the hardware for a sword to be worn. The components of the strap consisting of 2 brass fasteners, a swivel clip, and 2 rivets, are present making this sword belt complete. The gilded brass round officer’s unique 2 piece buckle works fine, with it’s Imperial navy anchor device on the insert portion of the assembly. Finally, the leather uniform protector fob / keeper is marked with the officer’s rank and name, Lt. Kawamura. There is also the number “901” written on the fob. Perhaps the outfit or naval vessel that this officer served in or on? This is a rare as well as beautiful complete personalized naval sword rig, to display with your Japanese WWII collectibles. $295.00

    Luftwaffe Officer’s Brocade & Buckle Rig – B145

This set is an early brocade set up for a Luftwaffe officer. It consists of the 34″ bullion mesh belt displaying a thin red fabric line flanked by 2 wider gray stripes, all running parallel from end to end. On the reverse side it is lined with a blue/gray wool showing 8 adjustment grommets. Basically there is just one small imperfection to the lining material where it has worn. Also one of the reinforce metal grommets is gone to time. While both vertical sliding keepers are present, one has come unglued from it’s backing material. This is a simple 2 minute fix, if the next owner wishes to do so. A beautiful die struck nickel silver buckle completes this set. The silver wash and pinned gold gilt droop tail Luft eagle are nicely toned, with an undisturbed patina which has never been cleaned nor polished. A nice early Luft officer’s belt rig, not all that often encountered.  $450.00

Early SA Uniform Cross Strap – B137

These super early SA cross straps produced and worn in the 1920’s are incredible difficult to locate, and we are the only dealer which I know of to offer these to the collecting community. The overall length of this one is 37″. In spite of it’s somewhat crusty appearance to the hardware, the actual leather itself is still quite supple on this example. It is complete with both buckles, the adjuster, and small gathering strap. As noted, this is a very early SA uniform accoutrement, and designated by the swastikas shown on the boss’ of the clips . $295.00

          3rd Reich Hunting/Forestry Belt Rig – B140

This is a relatively early belt, buckle, and hanger assembly for a Hirschfanger dagger. The aluminum buckle and prong bar keeper are matched to this rig, and void of any marks. While the exterior leather of the belt displays a nice period brown color, the green felt lining shows considerable wear and age. That’s kind of expected after 80 years of existence. Both keepers are included with the belt, as is the brass D ring and dagger hanger strap. There is a uniform protector leather fob hanging from the D ring and I mean literally hanging, as mere 4 threads are holding it on. I’m sure it can be reattached, but has been left like it is. The main component of this accoutrement being the D ring, is all nicely sewn and secure. Finally, the leather adjustment strap is still present and sewn fast to the inside of the belt. You don’t all that often see these belt rigs for these Nazi era Hirschfangers. Yes the inside shows some age, but the exterior is exceptional. $295.00

            Early Allgemeine SS Y Straps & D Rings – B136

Though have a couple of the early single SS uniform straps in the past, this is the first occasion that I have run across an actual set of Y straps. This set came out of a veteran trunk recently with a handful of other items, all being SS related. The leather is brittle on this set, but certainly can be reconditioned using Renaissance Wax or similar quality product. When these straps were removed from the trunk, literally one front section of the pair, dropped off of the large D ring swivel. On that same section which is not connected, the leather is almost worn through at the adjusting buckle. Certainly a leather worker could help restore both of these issues. As this unit is a super early assembly, the front retaining clips have the embossed swastikas to their design. You rarely ever see this early clip format, as it was only manufactured in this fashion for a short time during the 20’s. Attached to the front clips are 2 D rings which were meant for the soldier’s tunic belt to pass through. The reverse yolk leather section being the same. There you have it. It needs a couple areas of attention, but man what a super rare early set of Allgemeine SS Y straps, dating to the early formation of this party.  $375.00

              Hirschfanger Belt/Frog – B134

In this offering is an early era belt and hanger designed to be used to wear and carry a hunting or forestry dagger. The black leather belt is somewhat faded with age, wear and use. The same is true for the double strap frog. The hanger portion has a small tear to one of the straps, and also in the “V” section of where they meet the holder. This rig has a cool fastening clip designed to represent an S shaped double headed snake. Overall it has some wear and age, but not bad in lieu of the fact that it is 100 years or older. $300.00

Hirschfanger Belt and Hanger – B133

This is a nice set to complete your hunting or forestry dagger display, and not all that often seen offered at militaria venues. It consists of a thick green woven belt which is reinforced with leather ends, buckle fastener, tongue retainer, and slide teardrop hanger / clip for the edged weapon attachment. All of the components are in good condition, with just light age overall. $395.00

                  Political Leaders Belt & Buckle – B129

Offering an NSDAP Political leaders belt and buckle rig. This set appear to be unissued with basically storage only. The belt is a little different than your usual leather examples normally seen. In that the actual material appears to be a synthetic composite, with a wax texture feel to it. This belt is in new and unused condition, with the proper reinforced riveted catch in place. It is also marked with the maker, Kernstuck & RZM L2/1081/ 41, and is stamped size 90. Likewise the buckle shows 100% of the period gold painted finish, and virtually void of any wear. It is properly marked in relief with RZM M4/27. Both buckle keepers are included as well, one being stamped with the same RZM # as shown on the back of the buckle. The one keeper which is fastened to the catch on the belt, has a little misshaping. Finally, one leather keeper is also included in this rig. Storage age only.  $275.00

SA Uniform Cross Strap – B131

This is an accoutrement which is about impossible to find anywhere. It is an early 20’s cross strap for an SA soldier’s uniform. All of the leather is in excellent condition throughout, and still retains a nice original period brown dye to the hide. Both the adjusting buckle and steel slide and present, and work just fine. What makes this cross strap different than 99.9% of what is normally seen, are the clips. On the raised boss circles which are usually blank, this set of clips has raised swastikas in that area. You will only see this on the very early manufactured cross straps, which are extremely rare to locate. The plating on the clips as shown, exhibit wear and age. The all important raised swastikas, are still very detailed in their relief design. A very desirable early SA uniform cross strap, seldom if ever encountered. $400.00
