This is a stunning group of awards that no doubt were earned by a veteran war ace, who saw combat fighting in both WWI and WWII. It consists of a private purchase brown leather case, that is lined with a satin and felt interior. In it are the following: At the top, is a ribbon bar of which suspend a First World War Iron Cross 2nd Class, and a War Merit award. The reverse has the usual metal reinforcement from which the awards hang, and the pin to secure the bar to a soldier’s uniform. Both of the awards and their ribbons show wear and age. Located to the lower right of the presentation box, is a Klein & Quenzer WWII EK I. The badge is all uncleaned, has a nice silver frame and core paint, and retains the proper reverse hardware in place. The pin is marked 65, for the K&Q awards firm. Luftwaffe Flak Badge by Juncker – M275

For me, the Luftwaffe Flak Badge is the most impressive proficiency award given out during the 3rd Reich. With that big ole 88mm gun, and in flight eagle above, it just doesn’t get any better. This is an early Buntmetal piece, with killer uncleaned patina, both front and back. All the factory hardware looks to be proper & intact, and the reverse stamped ” C.E. Juncker, Berlin SW. A most impressive badge, by an extremely prestigious firm.   $440.00

Luft Flak Badge, Unmarked Brehmer – M265

One of the most impressive qualification awards produce during the 3rd Reich, was the Luftwaffe Flak Badge. With that big ole 88mm gun raised in a firing position, and the Luftwaffe eagle soaring above, it is such a stunning and awesome badge in every respect. It wasn’t too many years ago I couldn’t get enough of these awards for my own personal collection. I only collected the Tombac early versions, which this example is. The piece has a gorgeous patina that has developed over it’s entire surface, and displays exceptionally as you can observe. With the proper style of Brehmer hinge, pin and catch, this badge is all complete. Although not stamped, it is Brehmer quality and characteristics, without a doubt. I’ve pictured it next to the marked example that we also have listed in this award section. Grab this one, grab the other one, better yet, grab both of them! You’ll be hooked as I was.   $375.00 each.

Cased War Merit 1st Class by SL – M276

Here is a fantastic War Merit 1st Class by Steinhauer & Luck, with an outstanding frosted finish to it’s surface. While the original box does show some wear and age to it’s surface, the medal that it protected is a beauty! As most collectors know, only a few of the dozen or so firms that produced these awards, had that brilliant beautiful finish to their product. And none better than S&L. Take a look at this one, as it truly rates over 98% both obverse and reverse. This badge is complete with the hardware on the back side, with the pin marked “4” for the famous firm that produced it, Steinhauer & Luck. This is a honey, and I don’t think that you can find one for this price, anywhere.   $275.00
