More elusive than a TENO troddel and more scarce than the small Government official knot, a period manufactured 2nd model railway portapee is one of the rarest 3rd Reich edged weapon accoutrements known in the collecting community. Period examples are so extremely difficult to locate that most collectors would rather not having anything on their dagger or will opt for the reproduction example of these portapees. This one is in excellent condition and consistent with the light age that you like to see with a period worn and used knot. It shows a little bit of age to the silver cord with alternating purple sections where it was once laced on the hilt of a 2nd model railroad dagger. Likewise the stem shows a spec of age too. Both the bullion cords to acorn and cap remains super tight throughout. Finally completing this portapee is the matching all important cord slide, shown just above the stem. One totally rare knot to complete your 3rd Reich 2nd model railway dagger. $1395.00
