        These knots are never offered on the market as I can ever recall. It is the elusive portapee for a 3rd Reich Naval sword. This example heavy as all get out, tight construction all the way around, with bullion which has beautifully toned a golden brown. Look at the decorative line pattern on the slide and stem alone. What a neat touch! The overall length is 21″ inches, and proper to wrap around the hilt of the massive hilt of a navy sword. A great looking Kreigs rare knot!  $250.00

          This is a decent knot to complete your Army officer’s dagger with. The cord shows some fraying in 2 areas, and there are a couple of the strands on the acorn cap that have slid loose a little just on one side. A little dab of glue with a tooth pick would shore them up. The rest of the cap and acorn have super tight bullion construction. A serviceable knot for the money. $75.00

            Finding a nice knot for an SS officer’s sword is hard enough. Finding an early minty one with a cloth tag about impossible to locate. In this listing we are offering 3 absolutely killer SS officer degen portapees, in the most fantastic condition you are apt to encounter. All are in exception condition, and complete in regards to fabric, runes, slide. strap, bullion, and tagged. And speaking of tagged, all 3 of these have the rare cloth RZM / SS labels, which are extremely desirable to have on these troddels. These knots that are found with cloth tags, were only manufactured this way for a short time. It was the years between 1935-37 that they were constructed in this fashion. Of the 3 in this listing, they are as follows; RZM 38/37, RZM 158/36, and RZM 158/37. All 3 of these troddels would be appropriate for an early SS officer’s degen, and would stunning accoutrement to add to a sword.                   This has to be the longest, thickest, and largest 3rd Reich portapee that I’ve ever seen. The cord is thick, the knot is extra large, and the bullion all nice and tight. It has to be near the length of a Navy knot, measuring 22 inches overall. I’ve never seen another like it, and would look fantastic on something like Red Cross officer’s dagger or even a Navy sword.
